Nabteb 2022 May / June Literature in English (Objective & Prose) Questions and Answers

NABTEB LITERATURE   01-10: CCCBBCCCBC   11-20: BAADBBBBBB   21-30: BBBBAAABDB   31-40: BCBDDCACDD   41-50: ABCAABABBA   ============================================   (7)   The Golden Day can be said to be a metaphor for a place where intelligent black people who are not ready to confirm to the white man’s whims and and caprices are repressed. This is best illustrated through the veteran doctor’s tale and his analysis of the black-white relationship.   The love gor one’s race and failure of conformation to the other race values which seems to be obnoxious to the black people. This piece of the work of art promulgates love for one’s background, culture and value by the black.   Also, In this scene of “Golden Day” the character of Bledsoe is revealed and presented as a hypocrite, a dubious man who pretends to love the white man while hating him. On the other hand, the image of the narrator that is created in the mind of the readers is that he is naive and that his innocence makes him susceptible to the exploitation of bother whites and blacks.   ==========================================         ==========================================   ==========================================
