# Will JAMB Provide Worksheets for Mathematics Calculations in the Exam Hall?

Will JAMB Provide Worksheets for Mathematics Calculations in the Exam Hall?; A [2027 UTME](https://examloaded.com/) candidate, **Nwachukwu Great**, has asked an important question that many candidates preparing for subjects like Mathematics and Physics often wonder about:

> “Are we going to be given worksheets for math calculations in the hall?”

## Are Worksheets Provided During the JAMB Exam?

**No**, JAMB does **not provide separate worksheets or sheets of paper** for rough work or calculations during the UTME.

However, candidates are allowed to do their rough work using the **blank spaces on the question screen interface** or **use the provided on-screen calculator**, depending on the subject.

## How to Handle Calculations During the Exam

If your subject includes calculation-based questions (e.g. **Mathematics**, **Physics**, **Chemistry**, or **Economics**), here’s what to expect:

- **No physical paper** will be handed to you
- You will use your brain and work as much as possible mentally
- JAMB has an **on-screen calculator** integrated into the CBT platform
- Some centres **may provide a small whiteboard or sheet**, but it’s **not guaranteed** and depends on JAMB’s approval and the centre setup

## Best Tips to Prepare for Calculation-Based Subjects

- Practice solving problems **mentally** and with limited space
- Familiarize yourself with the **JAMB calculator interface** before your exam
- Focus on **speed and accuracy** during practice sessions
- Memorize common formulas and shortcuts to reduce time spent on solving

## Final Note

[JAMB](https://www.jamb.gov.ng/) is a fully digital exam, and unlike [WAEC](/waec-questions-and-answers/) or [NECO,](/category/neco/) **no separate worksheet is given**. So candidates should get used to solving questions **on-screen, mentally**, or using the [calculator](/why-jamb-should-upgrade-the-calculator-before-the-utme/) provided.

Thank you to Nwachukwu for asking a helpful question! If you have more exam concerns, feel free to ask — we’re here to guide you.
