# JAMB 2027: If You Are Not Receiving Password Reset Email

As candidates prepare for the [2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)](/jamb-questions-and-answers/),

some, like Kazeem Abubakri, have reported facing issues with resetting their JAMB portal passwords.

Specifically, after clicking “reset password,” the system says **“password successfully sent to [ email](https://examloaded.com/jamb-what-to-do-if-you-are-not-receiving-password-reset-email/#),”**
but no email is received in the candidate’s inbox.

Here’s why this happens and what you can do about it.

## Why You Are Not Receiving the Password Reset  Email

Several reasons could cause this issue:

- **Wrong email during registration:** The email linked to your JAMB profile might have been mistyped during registration.
- **Email delivery delay:** Sometimes, email delivery from JAMB may be delayed due to server congestion.
- **Spam or Promotions folder:** The reset email might have gone into your Spam or Promotions folder instead of your main inbox.
- **Email system error:** In rare cases, your Gmail account may block automated messages without showing a notice.

## Steps to Take If You Cannot Receive the Password Email

- **Check Your Spam and Promotions Folders:**
Open your Gmail, click on the “Spam” or “Promotions” tabs, and search carefully. Sometimes the password mail hides there.
- **Confirm the Email You Used for Registration:**
If your JAMB profile was registered with a wrong  email address or a mistyped email,
you will not be able to receive any messages, including password reset links.
- **Try Again Later:**
Sometimes the system can delay sending emails during periods of heavy traffic.
Wait for a few hours and attempt the reset again during less busy times.
- **Visit a JAMB Office or Accredited CBT Centre:**
If you still do not receive any reset email after trying these steps,
you must visit a [nearby JAMB office or accredited CBT centre](/jamb-cbt-centres-for-utme-de-in-nigeria/) to recover your account manually.

They will verify your identity and assist you properly.

## Important Reminder

Even if you cannot immediately access your JAMB portal:

- You can still use your **Registration Number**, **Phone Number**, or **Email** to reprint your exam slip.
- What matters now is printing your slip and knowing your exam date, time, and venue.

Focus on reprinting your slip and preparing for your exam while working to recover your profile properly.
