Four Students Reportedly Dead in Bida Poly Clash

Commotion in the Federal Polytechnic Bida, Niger State, and its environs yesterday following a clash between the Students and the community. Houses and shops were allegedly destroyed leaving some victims injured.

The incident reportedly started after the SUG president and other officials went to the park to negotiate the Hike in Transportation fare at a park reportedly identified as Estu Yahaya Park, during the dialogue, it was reported that the president was stabbed by a unknown person and some boys in the said garage reportedly started to attack the students leaving some injured.

Following this information, the students came out in mass against the Indigenes of the community, Some vehicles were said to have had their screens smashed while a motorcycle was burnt. About four Students and a commercial driver allegedly lost their lives during the cause of the event.
