As JAMB 2027 slip reprinting continues and candidates are now seeing their exam details, one common question is being asked by many candidates like Kelechi:
“Now that reprinting has started, can I still change my subject combination?”
Subject Combination Changes Are No Longer Possible After Reprinting
Earlier in the year, JAMB announced that candidates could correct their subject combinations — but only if they did it at least one month before the exam.
Now that slip reprinting has started and exam dates have been assigned,
it is no longer possible to change your UTME subject combination.

The subjects you selected during registration have already been locked into JAMB’s system, and your CBT exam questions have been prepared based on them.
What Candidates Can Still Change Later
Even though you cannot change your subjects after reprinting, JAMB will still open the portal later for:
- Change of course
- Change of institution
- Correction of some personal information (such as gender, state, or local government)
This usually happens after the UTME has started.
Advice for Candidates
If you made a mistake with your subject combination, the best thing now is to:
- Focus on writing the exam with the subjects you registered for.
- After the exam, choose a course during Change of Course/Institution that matches the subjects you wrote.
For example, if you mistakenly registered without Chemistry, you may later switch to a course that does not require Chemistry instead of Medicine.

Once JAMB reprinting begins, all candidate details, including subject combinations, are considered final.
The 2025 UTME will commence on Wednesday, 24th April 2025, and candidates are advised to focus fully on their preparation rather than worrying about what cannot be changed anymore.
